Famous painter Du Yongqiao, 1934-2007, professor of Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts and the member of the Chinese Artists Association, was born in Yuechi country of Sichuan. He was graduated from the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts in 1956 and then taught there. The majestic and dignified oil paints by Du Yongqiao melt the painting language of authentic western style and the literary Chinese with grand vigor together, especially the expression of light color in French Impressionism and strict shape in Russia School. Du Yongqiao was thought to be "the Great Minds With Expression and Touches" and his works were characterized by strong expressive and emotional features. In the past few decades, he was especially noted for his techniques in colors in the world and was considered to be "The Painter Who Effects Several Generations" with a great number of followers. Almost all famous Sichuan oil painters in 1970s and 1980s benefited from him. His life introduction was collected in books such as the Yearbook of Chinese Fine Art from 1949 to 1989 and the Chinese Artists while his works was widely collected in collection area in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, U.S., Canada, Greece, etc.
