Theodore Robinson ((July 3, 1852 - April 2, 1896) американский художник импрессионист, известный своими ландшафтами. Родился в Irasburg, штат Vermont. Затем его семья переехала в штат Wisconsin, где Theodore Robinson изучал искусство в Chicago. В 1874 году художник отправился в New York City где посещал National Academy of Design and the Art Students League. В 1876 году художник отправился в Paris чтобы учиться у Carolus-Duran и в Ecole des Beaux-Arts с Jean-Leon Gerome.Он был одним из первых американских художников начавших писать в стиле импрессионизма в конце 1880 годов. Его визит в Giverny положил начало тесной дружбе с Claude Monet. В 1877 году в Париже Robinson выставил свою первую картину .
