Through her experience of teaching art history, and her temporary work as a restorer she has gained a thorough knowledge of art techniques, especially of the Flemish school. She considers the Flemish painters to be the masters, establishing the art of painting in fact. Her ideal is Jan van Huysum, whose choice of subject, composition of painting and technique have a great influence on her and she developed her own floral paintings in the same way. The brilliant technique, the excellent structure and ripe color scheme make her works wanted all over Europe and even in Japan.
Elia Josza. Still Life
Elia Jozsa was born in Budapest, Hungarian in the twenties. After attending the usual schools, she graduated from the High School for Applied Arts. Subsequently she taught the history of art for an extended period of time. Besides this Jozsa also attended at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest.
