Chen Zida was born in Hangzhou in 1958. In 1987, he graduated from the oil painting department of China Art Academy. In 1989, his work was selected into the 7th National Art Exhibition and won the prize. In 1984, his work VOLLYBALL was collected by International Olympic Committee and displayed in Swiss Losan. His works took part in international art exhibitions for many times and were welcomed by Europe, America, Japan, and Southeast. Now he is director and vice professor of Zhejiang Art Professional Academy. Through the art combination of Chinese special subject, his painting shows the meaning of orient culture. With skillful skill, controlled progress, depicting the quality sense, the works are elegant, deep and with elegant charm which takes people go into a strict, true, peaceful world with history and going into heart. Cheng Jiguang, a first-class painter, born in 1956 in Chongqing, is a contemporary excellent oil painter. He is the academician of Contemporary Library Calligraphy and Painting Arts Academy, committee member of Chinese Arts Research Institute, member of Chongqi Artists Association, senior honorary advisor of Singapore Shen Zhou Arts Academy, researcher of Research Association of Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Celebrities. He has been concentrated on the study of the traditional western oil painting art for many years. His outstanding works like Tutor, Early Morning at the River, Root, A Kangba Boy had took part in national, provincial and municipal painting and calligraphy competitions and art exhibitions both home and abroad in the recent years and won prizes frequently. Many of his wonderful works are collected by collectors in China and overseas. He is entitled to be the world calligraphy and painting celebrity and international silver medal artist, and his works and biography brief has been edited into about ten classical books such as Chinese Art Expo and Collection Guide, Florilegium of Chinese Artists and Directory of Chinese Contemporary Celebrities and so on. 
Chinese artist Chang Qing - where he is a professor at the Central Art Academy. The scene for the show was a bit different, as it was held on the grounds of Jiangnan Hui, a club in Hangzhou set up by several of “China’s richest.” His new works on show were mostly colourful drawings and small paintings on paper, ranging from pictures of dogs, fruit, to vases, and roosters, and a large series of frogs. Mostly around A2 igzhou, where he is a professor at the Central Art Academy. The scene for the show was a bit different, as it was held on the grounds of Jiangnan Hui, a club in Hangzhou set up by several of “China’s richest.” His new works on show were mostly colourful drawings and small paintings on paper, ranging from pictures of dogs, fruit, to vases, and roosters, and a large series of frogs. Mostly around A2 in size, it was a bit confusing how the show had been curated, as paintings were framed in twos for the most part, 2 drawings of frogs, 2 roosters, 2 dogs, etc. But then some weren’t in pairs, mostly the fruits and vases.The framing also cut off some sections of the drawings, or the signatures. There wasn’t much correlation between why the drawings were paired this way, and the club had not installed any extra lighting, so once it started getting dark it became difficult to see the works.Saying that, Chang Qing is obviously an extremely talented draftsman, the line in the works on show were extremely fluid yet controlled, and combined some elements of Chinese style painting with more modern mediums, such as oil pastels and gouache. Likely in a proper gallery setting these works would have been shown to a greater advantage. 
In 1962, Cao Yong was born into hardship in China. During the Cultural Revolution, his family was singled out for harsh treatment by the authorities because of their previously distinguished background. While other young children his age started kindergarten, little Cao Yong began working; at age five, he found himself ferrying heavy baskets of gravel at a construction site. One day a rock pit caved in, nearly crushing the tiny boy to death under the rubble. Luckily, he survived.
